Lake Keowee is located in upstate South Carolina.   It is approximately 26 miles long, averages three miles wide and has over 300 miles of shoreline.  It is the second in a series of three man-made reservoirs created by Duke Power - Lake Jocassee is above, and Lake Hartwell is below.   There are many developments along the shoreline of the lake but also extensive areas of pristine undeveloped shoreline, beachable islands, waterfalls, cliff diving, and fun lakeside eating and drinking establishments.

Fun Things to Do

The town of Seneca, South Carolina Is located at the southern tip of Lake Keowee.  The town of Clemson, and Clemson University are  just a few miles from the lake.   If you plan an extended stay, the city of Greenville is about 35 miles away from Lake Keowee with a plethora of great restaurants and fun activities.
